I've been a big fan of Garth Brooks since he first started to sing in the early 1990's. What I really like about him is that he has a great voice and selects great songs to sing, with selecting numerous great ballads (like "The Dance" and "The River") and fun songs (like "Friends in Low Places" and "American Honkytonk Association"). I must say that when I heard that he was planning to go into retirement a few years ago, I felt pretty bummed about it, being the big fan that I am. One thing that I'm happy about now however, is that he's got a new song out on the radio now with "Good Ride Cowboy", a tribute to his good friend, the late Chris LeDoux. It's a good song, about a great cowboy turned country musician, sung by a legendary artist.
