George A. Borgman was born January 22, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri.
He is a jazz historian, journalist and reviewer.
He attended Indiana University Bloomington and received a masters degree in musicology.
Then he had a thirty year career in the army.
He has written for several jazz magazines and newspapers including The Mississippi Rag, where he is the New England correspondent.
He is the father of filmmaker Eric B. Borgman and has a rather large role in his son's film The Man in the Movie.
