In January 2009 Geri announced her engagement to shipping tycoon Fabrizio Politi. After meeting in an Italian night club, the pair embarked on a whirlwind romance, before becoming engaged 2 months later. The couple called off their engagement only two months later, with Geri reportedly deciding she "wasn't the marrying type".
