Gigi Edgley was born on November 16, 1977 in Perth, Australia. She is the daughter of Michael and Jeni Edgley. Throughout her childhood and school years she used her performance skills, and actively pursued any acting opportunities available.

Gigi's Chiana from the Sci-Fi show 'Farscape' was just about the most interesting character on the show. It wasn't because Chiana had an amazing storyline; it was because Gigi can act. The way she moved her body was brilliant and I swear that she studied a cat to move that way. I have never seen her in anything else, but I don't feel that I need to. She's just so great. I wish that I could see her in more things (other than a music video; which was still awesome.) because I would love to see how well she can embody another character.
Yes, she is Australian, and she really got my attention as the ailien big mouth Chiana in the series Farscape. I had seen her before in the Australian series The Secret Lives Of Us, but she didnt make that kind of impression on me then. When I later compared her preformances in both series, I began recognizing how talented this girl is. She is able to do many different types of shows... and really, someone had to tell me that the Chiana actor was the same as the Secret Lives Of Us actor. Even with the makeup, many actors give them selves away sooner or later. That was not the case with Gigi, and thats why I think shes pretty good.
I first saw Gigi on the small-screen, when she made her first appearance on the hit sci-fi show 'Farscape'. Her dedication to her work can not only be seen in how little sleep she got while playing the role of 'Chiana' but also how she braught out the very soul of her character. Chiana's main goal in the show, like a lot of new sci-fi actresses, was to be as provokative as possible while retaining a lot of mixed messeges in her body language. She did this, very well might I add. But after a while it was her choice to bring out some history in the character and it was through her talent and experience that she did this. She has managed to find her place in the hearts of millions without changing anything about her physical apperance. She also showed the whole world, how an actress or women for that matter can be sexy, smart, funny, playful, witty, and strong all at the same time. Gigi is by far one of the most underapreciated actresses of the 21st century!
