    Bobby's lazy ways are irritating Hank when he stops going to church. Lucky decides to intervene and take him to his church. Lucky's church happens to be a Puritan church, in which the preacher just yells and screams about the sinners, causing Bobby to do so to everyone he sees. Hank and all of Rainy Street are in a competition with Milton Street, to have better 4th of July fireworks. A full on war breaks out between the streets when Bobby destroys an Uncle Sam statue Hank built, thinking Hank is using it as an idol, and allows Milton Street to take the fall.

    After being framed for throwing a soda can at the school cop, Bobby is forced to be his partner. They wind up having a lot of fun, as the officer gets back out on the road for the first time in a while. Hank thinks a man has stolen his wallet and takes it back. When he realizes he stole the wallet, he tries to return it, but the man, who is tired of being a victim, doesn't take it so well. Dale applies for a job as a waiter in hopes to sue for sexual discrimination when they say no, but they wind up hiring him.

    Bobby finally takes a liking to football. Not wanting him to loose interest, Hank and the gang decide to take Bobby to a Texas vs. Nebraska game. While there Bobby wanders into the luxury box of former Nebraska quarterback, Jack Middleton. Eventually Hank and the gang join him. When Hank (acting as Jake) calls a play that wins the game for Nebraska, all the Texas fans are out to get him, and they have to escape, without Bobby knowing what is going on. Peggy and Luanne watch from home, and Luanne gets scared off Peggy's aggressiveness.

Dale and Boomhauer leave, and Bill joins the hippies. Back at home, Peggy starts helping people around town, who don't actually need her help.

Everyone except Hank finds this new employee hilarious, and when things go too far, he seeks out an attorney who recommends that Hank file a sexual harassment suit against Strickland Propane. Dale quits smoking, and takes up chewing tobacco.

Dale starts wearing a suit of armor and uses his new found invincibility to insult people without consequences.

He also comes across a box marked "oil records" in the garage and misinterprets it. Feeling that Hank is just being a rich miser, he goes on a shopping spree with Hank's emergency credit card. News of Hank's hidden wealth spreads through the alley and out about town, and everyone wants in on the action.

    Hank needs to take some antique furniture to his mother in Arizona, so he rents an 18-wheeler and takes Bobby on a road trip. Dale, Bill and Boomhauer stow away in the back. At a truck stop, they meet several tough truckers who scoff at Hank for claiming to be a real trucker, especially once Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer are found. Hank falls asleep and Bobby and the gang think they better keep driving to make up for lost time, but they wind up on a mountain, and Hank has to figure a way to get down. Peggy and Luanne try to write a Christmas novelty song based on Hank and Bobby's travels.

Hank approves of Bobby's new found interest in religion, but disapproves of the way Bobby starts to dress and talk. When Bobby gets his ear pierced, Hank forbids Bobby to attend the big Christian rock festival, Messiahfest. Bill, Boomhauer, Dale and Kahn decide that death row convicts shouldn't be the only ones to get great meals, so they create the Last Meal Club, dedicated to creating perfect 'last meals' for themselves.

Dale calls in the "pigeon god," Arlen's greatest exterminator, Sheila Repkin, who turns out to be a beautiful woman who takes an interest in Dale. When Sheila invites Dale to go on an all-night exterminating session with her, Nancy fears that Dale may cheat on her the way she used to cheat on him. Luanne celebrates her 21st birthday by going to a bar with two friends, and brings Hank along as the designated driver, but both wind up drunk. Bill and Boomhauer help the alpha pigeon get through an acid trip which is brought upon by Sheila.
