Despite making the Final Four, Meredith and Gretchen did not win any legs on The Amazing Race.
When she ran the race, Gretchen was 66 years old.
Meredith and Gretchen have been featured in many radio and magazine articles and have been interviewed on countless occasions, but are glad to be back to their normal lives. They have also had many speaking invitations.
Gretchen is inspired by BJ an Tyler from The Amazing Race 9 and she was amused by Lynn and Alex from their own edition of the race.
Gretchen has received fan mail from other countries, from even as far as Australia.
Her favorite task on the race was llama herding, while her favorite destinations visited were Botswana and India.
Gretchen says that there is someone who she would have rather done the race with, but says that she will never tell who that person is.
One of her biggest memories of the race was the fall in South Africa, in which she injured her head.
Gretchen helps out by volunteering at a hospice.
Meredith and Gretchen remain big fans of The Amazing Race.
Outside the race, Gretchen spends most of her time cooking, biking, gardening and golfing.
Gretchen describes herself as outgoing, reliable and kind, but she claims that she can get quite loud if she is not happy.
Gretchen has two children. One is a boy and the other a girl, named Chris and Cindy respectively.
Gretchen is a retired flight attendant and a retired nurse.
Although they went so far in the race, Meredith and Gretchen failed to win any leg of the race, and only finished in the Top Three on one occasion.
Meredith and Gretchen were the oldest team in the race's history to make the Final Four.
Meredith and Gretchen finished fourth on the race.
Gretchen ran The Amazing Race in its seventh season with her husband, Meredith.
Gretchen: We were just hoping to get through the first couple legs without embarrassing ourselves and here we are.
Gretchen: (after being eliminated from The Amazing Race 7) We've gone further than we could ever dream and we've had more than a million dollars of memories and experiences.

Gretchen: Glad that's not us!
Gretchen: (on Leg 10 of The Amazing Race 7) Meredith and I are still staying in the race. Before, my goal was just to stay in one more day, but now my goal is to win the race!

Uchenna: So obviously there is an earlier flight.
Meredith: What are we gonna call this?
Gretchen: I don't know. Gnome.
Meredith: Jerome. Jerome the gnome!
Gretchen: (rapelling up the fortress on Leg 10 of The Amazing Race 7) A 66-year-old shouldn't be doing things like this.
Gretchen: (arriving at a hotel) All right! Home sweet home for 8 hours!
Gretchen: (at the Kilos Detour on Leg 10 of The Amazing Race 7) We want big men! Superman!
Gretchen: (after weighing someone at the Detour on Leg 10 of The Amazing Race 7) 58? That's a light-weight!
Phil: (to Meredith and Gretchen after they arrived last at what appeared to be a Pit Stop) Give it everything you've got.
Gretchen: Meredith! We have a bad elephant. We have a bad elephant.
