Gypsy Rose Lee

Gypsy Rose is the aunt of actress April Kent.

Gypsy has been portrayed by Natalie Wood in 1962's movie Gypsy and Cynthia Gibb in 1993's TV movie Gypsy.

Although she was a "stripper," Gypsy Rose never actually got totally undressed. She always had something small covering her.

Gypsy had a brief fling with director Otto Preminger, which resulted in a son, while she was still married to William Alexander Kirkland.

Gypsy Rose had one son, Erik Lee Preminger, who was born December 11, 1944.

Like her mother, Gypsy Rose was married three times.

Gypsy was buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California.

In 1941, Gypsy wrote The G-String Murders, which was later made into the 1943 film Lady of Burlesque.

Gypsy's sister is actress June Havoc.
