Gyton: (on playing Carl Williams in "Underbelly") During shooting I started getting recognised as the guy playing Carl. Certain "colourful characters" would approach me. These guys are a unique type of celebrity. People want to be able to tell their friends, "I hung out with Carl Williams last night at the pub".
Gyton: I had to get fatter to play Carl, so I visited a nutritionist. I had to cut out exercise and bulk up on carbs. I put on 12 kilos and afterwards it took 2 months to lose it.
Gyton: As soon as I got the part of Carl Williams I went straight to Krispy Kreme.
