Haruna has appeared at several special events throughout her seiyuu career including the "Charity Event in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi" on March 31, 1996; the "Tokyo Game Show" on April 5-6, 1997; the "Kamakura Cinema World Seiyuu Special Stage" on July 26, 2997; the "Kamiya Akira Charity Concert" on December 21, 1997; and the "Studio Pierrot Anime Fair 2001 signing session" on April 30, 2001.
Haruna has voiced characters in several Japanese video games including CoCo Bandicoot in the Crash Bandicoot series, Marina Ohgami in Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!! Eternal Wings, Jessica D'Alkirk in Lunar: Silver Star Story, and Athena Asamiya in the The King of Fighters series.
Haruna has voiced characters in several radio/CD dramas, including her role as Seishou Nagon in Heian Mato Karakuri Kidan [radio], BSX-3 in Battle Skipper [CD], Kisugi Megumi in Neko na Kankei [CD], Haruna in Chou Kousoku Gran Doll [radio], and Vircia Ducelle in Yuukyuu Kumikyoku All Star Project [CD].
Haruna has dubbed characters in few American works including Megan MacAllister in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (live-action movie) and Transmutate in Beast Wars (animated series).
Haruna has appeared in several popular Japanese magazines throughout her career in which she has done photo shoots, interviews and reports. Some magazines she has appeared in includes several editions of Newtype, Animedia, Ani Raji Grand Prix, Voice Animage, and Seiyuu Grand Prix, as well as several others.
Haruna has been a regular personality/DJ/host on 7 different radio shows. The 7 radio shows were "Puku Puku Penguin Park", "PC-FX Club", "True Love Story", "Marie no Atelier", "Anige Master", "Radio Je t'aime", and "Haruna Eyed View".
On the 4 episode OVA Dangaizer 3, Haruna performs both the opening and ending theme songs. The opening theme is entitled "Alive -watashi wa koko ni iru", and the ending theme is called "Neo Evolution" performed along with Akiko Kimura and Houko Kuwashima.
Both Haruna's father (Natsuki Ikezawa) and grandfather (Takehiko Fukunaga) are famous authors.
When Haruna rides a train, she often wears gloves. The reason for this is that she sometimes loses her ticket. So by wearing gloves, she can store the ticket in them and not misplace it.
For a long time, Haruna didn't know what a shinkansen (Japanese bullet train) was. Once, Haruna was invited to a party in which her friend told her to take the shinkansen so that she would get there in 30 minutes. She got on a regular train since she wasn't sure what a shinkansen was and arrived 2 hours late.
When Haruna was attending a private college, she lived very close to it (about a 7 minute walk away) so she was able to wake up late. It was still very hard on her though, so a lot of times when she finally got there she'd usually sit in the back and sleep.
On the TV anime Alice SOS, Haruna performed the 2nd opening theme song entitled "SOS" along with Megumi Toyoguchi. This song began episodes 27-28.
From the start of her seiyuu career until 2002, Haruna was affiliated with Oscar Promotion. Since 2002 to the present she is employed under the talent agency, 81 Produce.
Haruna is a member of a 4 person seiyuu group called "MORE PEACH SUMMER SNOW". The other 3 members are Mamiko Noto, Chiwa Saito, and Ryô Hirohashi. These 4 ladies all voiced characters in the anime Sgt. Frog.
Haruna stands in at 160 cm (5 feet, 3 inches) tall, weighs approximately 48 kg (106 lbs), has blood type O, and her three sizes are 84-54-88.
Haruna: When I was little, I called myself Nana, so people who knew me then call me Nana. When I was in Thailand, I was called Garuna. When I was is Greece, I was called Runaparky.
Haruna: At school, a lot of people would say "Hello" to me, but I couldn't remember who they were.
Haruna: On the way to the recording studio I passed by a vending machine and thought, "I should buy something to drink," so I bought something. Then a little while later, I passed by another vending machine and thought the same thing, and I bought another drink. When I got to the studio, I had two drinks in my hands and wondered where they came from.
Haruna: In one word, I'm a child. You know those kids that run as hard as they can in the park, and then fall flat on their faces? Well, that's me.
