Heidi keeps a small bag full of the teeth she lost as a child as a good luck charm.
Heidi Klum: (about her kids learning German at a very young age) They are bilingual. Completely. You owe that to your children if you have the ability to speak another language.
Heidi: (Telling how her husband Seal proposed to her atop a glacier in the Canadian Rockies) He took me by helicopter. He had an igloo built there, and they'd brought up everything: a bed with sheets inside the igloo, rose petals everywhere, candles. Very, very romantic! There was food and champagne, and then the helicopter left. It was a little scary, too, because you're so cut off from the world. No trees, nothing - it was hard-core. But I was ecstatic. I loved it. It was wonderful.
Heidi: You have to work out to be sexy. People always ask me how I stay in shape and how do I do it, and what really makes me do it is because I have a hot man waiting at home for me, so I don't want to be a slouch bag; I have to keep up appearances.
Heidi: Sometimes I lie in bed and I'm like, 'Oh my god, there's Seal lying next to me. What's he doing there?' I get a smile on my face immediately. Our honeymoon period is definitely not over...I want to look good for him, so I kind of stepped it up a bit.
Heidi: (About her first date with husband Seal) We went somewhere very nice for dinner - it was very good but I can't tell you exactly what we did. It would be too naughty and you can't run it anyway. It would just be bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep. But it was a very good first date!
Heidi: (On the success of Project Runway) We were very proud of ourselves for Project Runway. It just shows that even if you don't have a big budget, but you have a great concept and you have great people on the show, you can still be a success and get an Emmy nomination!
Heidi: There's something odd when you're 35 or 45 and ironed to the max.
Heidi: A lot of people come to me and they're like, 'Will I look like you after I have the baby?' And I say, 'Well, how were you before?' You can't kid yourself.
Heidi: I think in the third pregnancy, your body kind of remembers, 'Oh, we're doing this again.'
Heidi: (on her pasttimes) I like to hang out with my friends and my family. I love to cook and I like to go swimming in the pool. I like to go to the park and feed the ducks.
Heidi: (on swimming with sharks for a Discovery Channel documentary) I'm not saying that everyone should swim with sharks, but sometimes you have to jump over your own shadow in order to learn something that you will never forget for the rest of your life. Then you know you can conquer your fears.
Heidi: I'm lucky. Sometimes I even forget I'm pregnant. And then, boom! I get a kick in the stomach!
Heidi: I represent more the healthy, happy, curvy, strong woman. And that sounds much healthier to me than being 80 pounds and skinny as a bean.
Heidi: My career never suffered from me not being skinny. I never did catwalk work because I was always too big. I couldn't get the clothes over my hips.
Heidi: I believe that when you put a smile out there, you get a smile back.
Heidi: Going blonde is like buying yourself a light bulb!
Heidi: I have maybe 459 pairs of jeans. They're organized by pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and post-pregnancy.
Heidi: I love beautiful clothes when I'm on the red carpet or out with my husband, but when I'm with the kids or at home, I'm not looking for the newest trend. I'm all about comfort.
Heidi: (on "Project Runway" being nominated for its second Emmy) For me it wasn't the biggest surprise. I was kind of expecting it since we were nominated last year and it's getting bigger now. It goes beyond people who care about fashion.
Heidi: I love flea markets because you just never know what you're going to find.
Heidi: You should spend your money on some nice lingerie. Big wool cotton pants, that just doesn't work. You have to feel sexy.
Heidi: I'm very lucky. As I get a lot of roles because of my name as a model and I probably wouldn't have got them without it. You have to make the best of your situation.
