Best album: Most Wanted.
Best song: Wake Up
Next best song: Beat of My Heart.
I confess to being way too old to be commenting on Hilary, but am totally in love with her anyway. I used to watch Lizzie Maguire (sp?) on Disney with my daughter (you heard me, my daughter). However, didn't really pay attention enough to know who Hilary was. Then one day while flipping through the channels, hit something like "Kennedy Center Honors" - there was some girl dancing around singing - they kept showing the audience - middle-aged and older - political, social, and business types. They were absolutely enthralled with the girl and the song - especially the women. So then I thought the tune was sort of catchy and watched for a while. Finally they showed a close face shot of her and then it hit me - "holy s**t, that is Lizzie Maguire"!
So then I started to notice her. The song was "Wake Up". I bought the CD that same day and put it on my iPod - "Wake Up" is now on my # 1 playlist and "Beat of My Heart" is way up there too - my # 2 list or so. I also have the video of "Beat of My Heart" and wish she would do more videos.
You have to be beyond one of her teeny-bopper fans to understand how sexy she is when she sings - in "Wake Up", it's the way she does and pronounces "dance floor" and "record" and "put my make-up on" and especially "Paris" and most especially "I made a lot they say". Too much. I love the video and even bought her tour DVD. Have lots of her Internet fan photos on my iPod - she is a total man-killer, always so chaste and yet she can't help being super-sexy anyway. I'm too old to lust after her, so I guess the proper word is "adorable".
