  • Since his release from prison in 1995 Howard Marks has released three books, written columns and articles for many magazines and newspapers, starred in TV shows and movies, and ran for parliament. You'd think that at 62 years old he'd be slowing down!

Although he deals with the taboo issue of cannabis legalisation Howard Marks has become quite the celebrity. Since 1996 he has appeared in TV shows Heartbeat, Wish You Were Here and The Falconer. He's been interviewed on The Wright Show and This Week. He's also been seen playing himself in hit movie Human Traffic and putting his money where his mouth is in Celebrity Poker Club.

In his live shows, An Audience with Howard Marks, he comes across as clever, funny, a loving husband; an otherwise normal and nice gentlemanly type. He speaks to you in an entracingly slow Welsh accent which encapsulates the listener in a hypnotic fashion. On top of this Howard has a very laid-back and logical way of looking at life, it's enlightening to listen to his stories and hear his point of view.

I think we're guaranteed to see Howard marks on our big screen for many years to come. Cameo's a-plenty, maybe, but his live shows prove that he has much more than that to offer the world of entertainment.
