Started playing his own acoustic shows at colleges and small venues and clubs while still in high school. Discovered by Dave Matthews. Has toured with Tori Amos, Sting, Matt Nathanson, John Mayer and others. Released two independent albums ("Australia" & "Madrigals") before recording his major-label release, "Stop All the World Now" on Epic records. His inspirations include Jeff Buckley, Dave Matthews, Richard Ashcroft, Radiohead, U2 and David Gray amongt others. Writes his own songs. Live shows are a force of nature.

    howie day is a very talnted man I bought his new cd Stop all the world now very good cd he is one of my favorite artists his a songs are so good they explain life so well and i can realte to howie and his music hide show
