Acting started out as a hobby for Hugh, his "real" job being a Realtor in a small southern California town. Everyone loved him.
Aside from the TV series he appeared in as a character actor, he did numerous commercials for every-day items such as Ice Blue Secret and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
His was one of those faces you saw and thought, "Gee, he looks familiar; do I know him?". He could play a statesman in plays like "Of Thee I Sing" or a peasant in "Becket" with equal ease. He worked along side of many well-know persons and acquitted himself extremely well.moreless
