Ian Tracey

6/26/1964 , Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada

Birth Name

Ian began his acting career when he was eleven years old after reading an advert for film auditions at his local school. He worked steadily as a youngster but then, in his late teens, he decided to stop acting and find a job in "the real world", as he put it. After a while, Ian returned to the film industry and learned a trade in lighting - but the acting bug never left him.

Over the course of his ten year career, Ian has appeared in over a hundred films and television series. In 1999, he won a Best Acting Gemini Award for his starring role in the Canadian mini-series, Hard Time: The David Milgaard Story. He has also starred as Mike Leary in the CBC hit series Da Vinci's Inquest, making his debut as a director on that show, as well. Recently he has been Guest Starring as Adam Worth (Jekyll and Hyde) on Sanctuary.
