Ioan Gruffudd

In May 2008, Ioan collected the Tlws Sian Philips award at the Welsh BAFTA award with a black eye due to his wife accidentally hitting him with a golf club during a game of golf. Ioan received the award for his contribution to film.

Ioan married British actress Alice Evans in Mexico on September 14, 2007.

In May 2007, Ioan and Fantastic Four co-stars, Michael Chiklis and Jessica Alba, presented awards at the 2007 TV Week Logie Awards in Australia.

His movie Solomon and Gaenor (in which Ioan played Solomon) was nominated for a Best Foreign Film Academy Award in 2000.

In 2003 Ioan was invited to join the Welsh Bardic Order of Great Britain (Gorsedd Beirdd Ynys Prydain).
