J.K. Simmons

J.K. was a member of the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

J.K. made his New York City stage debut in the Off-Broadway musical Birds of Paradise in 1987, and then made his Broadway debut in the play A Change in the Heir in 1990.

J.K. made his feature film debut in The Ref.

J.K. narrated the book-on-tape Dreamland: Strike Zone, by Dale Brown.

J.K. has appeared in commercials for the following: Century 21,Saab, Budget Express, AMC, and The Discovery Channel.

J.K. was cast as the neo-Nazi Verne Schillinger in Oz due to a prior performance on Homicide: Life on the Street, where he also played a neo-Nazi.

J.K. is often cast in films directed by Sam Raimi.

J.K. wore a wig for his role as J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man films.

J.K. was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast in a Drama Series for The Closer at the 2006 Screen Actors Guild Awards. They were also nominated in 2007.

J.K. married actress Michelle Schumacher in 1996.

J.K. met his wife while the two were performing a tour company of Peter Pan.

J.K.'s wife had a reoccurring role on Oz.

J.K. and his wife have two children.

J.K. is 5'10" (1.78 m).

J.K. has a brother and a sister.

J.K. started losing his hair at the age of 22.

His character, Dr. Emil Skoda, is one of the few Law & Order characters that recur in all three incarnations: the original series; Law & Order: Special Victims Unit; and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

J.K. Simmons attended the Ohio State University while living in Worthington, Ohio and remains a big Ohio State sports fan today.

J.K Simmons studied to become a composer at the University of Montana before moving to musicals and acting. He received an Achievement Award for the UofM in April 2002.
