J.R. is an Iraq war veteran known for the injuries he suffered from during his time in Iraq which resulted in having to undergo surgeries to fix his burnt face. J.R. joined the cast of the American daytime drama "All My Children" in November 2008.

I would like to thank AMC for the introduction of this character to the storyline. I wasn't sure at first if he had a great make up job or what.

According to the information Mr Martinez was wounded in Iraq. I would love to see more information about his service/duty time.

I would also like to thank Mr. Martinez for "service above and beyond' to protect our great nation. I hope landing this 'gig' has helped Mr Martinez in his healing process.

I hope AMC stands behind him, supporting him and showing him the respect he deserves.
