I like his foreign accent incorporated with his English... he is a great actor! He teaches, he mentors when he fights or another actor fights, he is a hero, he is a role model, and when he attempts to sing... OMG you are in for a good time and a laugh. This ninja is versatile when it comes to comedy and action. I'd like to see him expand his talent into more movies and more tv shows... cause he's one of my favorite actors.
There can be no doubt the Jackie Chan is the greatest stunt actor of all time. Plus he's darn right FUNNY!
With the exception of Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights most of his greatest works are the earlier ones. I did NOT like any of the Rush Hour movies. These were not "Jackie Chan" movies. They were American produced projects taking advantage of his popularity.
Some of my personal favorites are Armour Of God, Armour Of God II: Operation Condor, First Strike, Super Cop, Twin Dragons, Who Am I?, and my ALL TIME favorite, Legend Of The Drunken Master.
Obviously what sets Jackie apart from any other action star is that he does all of his own stunts. Of course, he has paid the price for this.
Just a few of his more notable injuries while filming:
Fractured skull and hearing loss in right ear
Scratched right eye
Cut left eye
Nose broken three times
Dislocated jaw
Fractured collarbone
Both elbows broken
Broken left foot
Broken right ankle
It is truly remarkable that he's still alive. But I hope he can continue to entertain us for many years to come.
Jackie Chan is amazing!!! I love almost every single one of his movies; I just don't care for the cartoon series that's on occasionally. I love his movies because of the fighting scenes. I still can't believe he does his own stunts! When I first heard this, I was like NO WAY! I find it hard to believe that a man as old as he can do those kinds of stunts. My favorite movies of his are: Shanghai Noon, Shanghai Knights, Rush Hour 1, Rush Hour 2, and Around the World in 80 Days. I'm really excited about Rush Hour 3. I feel bad that Jackie Chan got hurt while filming though.
One of the best actors around. I think that what separates from most of the other actors, is the fact that he does not uses stunts, he always does all of his scenes and he always turns out very good in all of his roles. His fighting style is always very cool, and I think that he is something above other actors.
Jackie Chan is the man when it comes to martial arts flicks. His actual acting and delivery of lines is not great, but his martial arts skills in cinema is second to none. Plus, he never takes himself too seriously. I could literally watch his films all day and never get sick of them.
Jackie Chan is the King, the best in martial arts and comedy! He can fight with anything and can count with 100 movies to his credit! At the age of 50 years, Jackie Chan is still kicking and smiling as if he were 25. He also has a star in the ground of Hollywood. His very known films like Drunken Master, Rush Hour, Shangai Noon and Knigths, Around the world in 80 days, The Tuxedo, and most recently The Myth, atc, made him a great actor and person. He also sings, do charity works and runs a restaurant. His life never stops!!
Jackie is one of my favorite actors. He can do everything and anything for a movie. And I love that he is willing to do his own stunts...not that many people do their own anymore. I am so amazed that he is still acting and making awesome movies with all the injuries he has had on set. My favorite quote from him is in the blooper reel for rush hour 2 Jackie just went sliding feet first into some iron bars. He hits them and falls back. When asked if he was OK, he gave this reply: "Jackie Chan always OK!"
That was awesome. Jackie is seriously one of the greatest actors/stuntmen that has ever lived...and he is one of the few stuntmen that people actually know.
Jackie Chan must be one of the hardest working people in showbiz. He's an actor, a stuntman, a director, a producer, he's also sung songs for Disney! Of course he is most famous for his amazing fight skills and his death defying stunt work, which has helped establish him as one of the greatest martial arts actors of all time. His films of late have been fairly dissapointing, but with `New Police Story` and his rumoured re-teaming with fellow fighters Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, Jackie looks set to bring joy to martial arts fans for a long time still
Jackie has been my favorite actor ever since I was little. This guy is a great person that didn't let fame go to his head. His movies are the best because they don't rely on violence alone to be entertaining, as there's always some funny bit related to every scene.
I've noticed that Jackie Chan always act very hard, he's really strong. Well, sort of. He always learn new moves to focus on his strength and he didn't have to pay attention to the pain. He can't be in the sumo, because sumo fighters have better armour than strong mans do. I really don't know if he wants to have a vacation at Beijing, you know, the capital of China. His food are the right choice. Well, he's pretending to be a surveillance camera, but a strong looker, he concentrates looking straight forward and watching where he goes. After all, he is the world's best movie actor.
Quickest man Jackie Chan is what i call him. Kung fu and karate masta. He is awesome in his movies and is really awesome. He is very talented and can do lots of cool moves that are aweome to see. He is very talented and is really cool. WHA CHA!
Jackie Chan is a great actor, The movies Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 where two of hes best movies him and Chris Tucker make a great team. He also played in around the world in 80 days. He plays a good-side kick. Hes a great marcial arts expert and the moves he used in the rush hour movies and other are amazing.
Jackie Chan is responsible for establishing “Action-Comedy” as a distinct genre world-wide. He produces fun films with very intricate action scenes but without the gratuitous violence of the low budget films with matching low intelligence.
Jackie’s fights are always done with humor and clever use of props and ‘found’ objects. Often his fights are made to appear ‘accidental’ as if the other guy is really good and Jackie stumbles to victory.
Many of Jackie’s films have a half hour or more cut from them before release in the US, giving rise to the bogus notion that Jackie can’t act because there is so little dialog in his films. In the original form there is often a great deal of romantic comedy and good drama we don’t see in the US.
Watch Jackie Chan films. Try to see the Hong Kong versions!!!
He's also a childhood favorite. He's a very talented man, doing his own stunts, directing, producing, and is usually the movie's stunt cordinator. Not only is he talented, he's a great person! On his 51st birthday, he donated money to charity and wishes for world peace. Awwwwwwwwww, that's so sweet! :D
Jackie Chan is sooooo cool. I love him sooo much. He's such a great fighter (I know that for sure) and he's still a big hit. He's one of my top fave actors. And of course, my fave "Stuntist." Jackie Chan is sooo adorable to me. No matter how many wrinkles he's gonna get, he's always going to be such a teddy to me.
