Jackie Woodburne

Jackie: (asked if she struggles with the public recognition) Occasionally, when you've had a blue with someone or look daggy. On those occasions you might not have the energy to be as receptive as you usually are but, generally speaking, it's fine.

Jackie: (on what she loves the most about playing Susan in Neighbours) I love it when she's wrong - she often is - and when she embarrasses the kids and tries too hard. It's good when she gets it a bit wrong. I struggle with her being just a passive reactor to stories. I think she's much more interesting when she's got things happening.

Jackie: (on learning lines) I'm OK with lines - but a well-placed Post-it note on the other actor's face can be very helpful.

Jackie: (asked if she is as strong as Susan on Neighbours) Without a team of writers to guide my life, I think I'm as much a fiasco as the next person!

Jackie: (on her favourite relationship on Neighbours) I did enjoy Susan letting loose and having a one-time-only fling with Izzy's dad, Bobby - mainly because Andrew McFarlane is so gorgeous!

Jackie: (on her thoughts when she joined Neighbours) When I took the job I thought, 'Great, I can get my flat painted!' I certainly didn't think it would be so much fun and that I'd still be enjoying it after all this time.
