His nicknames are Lil Jack and JB. His One Tree Hill co-stars named him Baby James to distinguish him from James Lafferty who also stars on the show.

Lee Norris, who plays Mouth in One Tree Hill, admits Jackson is probably the best at playing the guitar on the video game Guitar Hero.
