  • Quotes

    • Jacob: (gracious in defeat as he was eliminated from "Australian Idol") It's one of those things, it's a competition. Everyone here is just so good it can go any way. I was here last week and I'm here again, so well I'm going home now.

    • Jacob: (asked how he prepares before a performance) Lots of quiet time, cup of peppermint tea, bit of DVD, maybe some music - all in all, a good vibe always helps!

    • Jacob: (asked why he thinks "Australian Idol" is important to the music industry) Because it gives those who my not have previously had the opportunity, to showcase their talents in front of a national audience.

    • Jacob: (asked what his title for his album would be called) It's already recorded and cost me an arm and a leg. I'd like to call it, For All the Wrong Reasons.

    • Jacob: (asked which artist - dead or alive - he would like to perform a duet with) John Lennon - because he is God. Nobody is better than Lennon.

    • Jacob: (on his feelings when first auditioning for "Australian Idol") Absolutely petrified on the inside - reasonably calm on the outside... until I couldn't get my guitar in tune.

    • Jacob: (asked for his favourite genre of music) Indie Rock-Pop. Particularly the English bands. I find that they do it the best time and time again.

    • Jacob: (on song choices on "Australian Idol") It's going to be really hard because I have to try and strike a balance between singing the indie rock songs that I love and what the general public know and love, so there will have to be some compromises.

  • This dude is a star, an absolute genius when it comes to music- why should he be ignored?!?! Get this dude a record contract someone!!!!!!!

Hello. I am a loyal Jacob Butler fan. This guy is no fake reincarnation on some other former rock star- he has his own style, and he should be acknowledged for it. He even posts on his own message board. I've never heard of a celebrity who goes on his forum as much as this guy does. He's soooo underused, if he releases a record, a lot of people would be surprised about how popular it may be. There a so many people out there who have been wanting someone like Jacob to release something, and if he finally does, not only will it make a huge chunk of the rock fans happy, but think of what he'll be like! He standed out, and is at a much higher level than any other former X- factor contestant. Even the winners, Random have disappeared into a lower level. Maybe people should think twice before they go thinking that JB is just another rock and roll wannabee.

This guy deserves more than he's getting- he's giving more than he's recieving. Record company owners, WAKE UP and start acknowledging real young talent, Like the one and almighty, Jacob Butler. Bown down to him, my friends. He's a god.moreless
