Jacque wrote the 100th episodes of Martin and Living Single.
Jacque has received the following awards:

- A PRISM award from the National Institutes of Health and the Entertainment Industries Council.

- A President's Award from the Alliance of Black Entertainment Technician.
- Today's Hope Award by the Arts Facet.
Jacque and her husband James Cofer, Jr created the company Cofer Entertainment Group and are the founders of Christian Cinema Online.
Jacque's first network TV writing job was on the show Martin.
Jacque graduated with an A.B. in Politics after enrolling in Princeton University. While at Princeton she earned certificates as a form of award in African-American Studies, Urban Studies, and Political Economy. Later, Jacque joined Harvard University's School of Graduate Business Administration.
