Jacqueline Brookes, an American actress, was born on July 24, 1930 in Montclair, New Jersey. She debuted in the TV series Look Up and Live in 1954. Other series productions in which she was featured inluded Adventures of the Sea Hawk, Play of the Week, As the World Turns, A Flame in the Wind and The Secret Storm. Brookes attended the University of Iowa. She also trained at the Royal College of Dramatic Arts. She acted in various stage plays in Broadway, including Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, Taming of the Shrew, Othello and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Brookes also featured in such TV movie productions as Silent Witness, License to Kill, Starcrossed, Unholy Matrimony, An Invasion of Privacy, Act of Love, Hardhat and Legs, A Death in Canaan, One of Our Own and One of Our Own. Her better known roles include that of Alice Davenport in The Good Son, as Commissioner Anabell Brumford in The Naked Gun 2¬Ω: The Smell of Fear and as Judge Grace Larkin in Law & Order.
