Jacquie has a twin sister, actress Jill Hennessy and a little brother John Paul (aka J.P.)

She is of Irish, Italian, French, Swedish and Ukranian descent. Jacq & Jill grew up in Canada, and Jill decided to go into modeling as as a teen, but Jacq wasn't bitten as hard by the entertainment bug like Jill was. She did, however, go on to do a few films with Jill. Jacq even filled in for Jill on Law & Order once in 1996.

Jacq attended the University of Waterloo. Later she went on to the University of Manitoba where she studied French Literature. She graduted from both

Jacqueline is the associate editor for Lady Chatelaine Magazine in Canada.

In March 2003, Jacquie was hired as a host of the Canadian television series "Medical Intelligence".

On February 4, 2004, Jacq went on maternity leave from both the magazine and the tv show.

Jacq says that when they were babies, Jill was a food hog and never let Jacq get any yum. This could be why Jacquie's favorite book has always been the Betty Crocker Cookbook.

Her favorite foods are anything at McDonald's, Hershey's Kisses & her mom's fabulous pasta with rich brown sugar bolognese sauce! Jacq likes to eat with her hands, and is into organic eating, aside from the stuff mentioned above. She even wrote two articles for Lady Chatelaine called "Is Organic Better?" (April 2001), in which she agrees that it is better, just more expensive, and also "The Joy of Eating" (April 2003). Jacqueline says she shops at Loblaw's Supermarket in Canada.

Jacq & Jill are both singers and musicians with beautiful voices. They have said that they would like to release a CD together.
