James liked playing in Cowboy because it's a fast film and nothing was 'carved into stone' when they shot it so there was room for a lot of creativity.
James playes a lot of different male Wraiths on Stargate Atlantis. He tries to give them all a different vibe and personality.
The 3 things James would choose to take with him to a deserted island:
- a Star Trek replicator (but since they don't exist he would take his iPod, but then he wouldn't be able to recharge it.)
- the girl of his dreams
- a good book
Halfway through season 2 of Stargate Atlantis James quit because he felt undervalued. But later they called him back and gave him a better offer so James will be back.
He was in the movie Personal Effects with Cristopher Judge who also has a role on a Stargate series.
James doesn't have cable so he can't see all TV shows, but he likes watching them on dvd box sets.
His favorite Stargate Atlantis episode so far is the season premiere: "Rising part I and II". He liked Bob, the character he played in this episode.
The make-up helps James to bring out the characters he plays. He has an idea of what the character would sound and act like, but with the make-up and costume on it takes it all to the next level.
It takes approximately two and a half hours to get the Wraith make-up on.
Before he got the role on Stargate Atlantis, James had seen the movie and a couple of episodes of Stargate SG-1.
He only had to do one audition to get onto Stargate Atlantis. The next day he was given the role without a call back.
James is really into music and wants to check out Berlin because he heard it has a great techno scene.
James enjoys travelling and looks forward to visiting Europe in the near future.
James would like to appear on Saturday Night Live.
James likes to read in his free time and also enjoys writing screenplays.
