James Saito has been in the movie and television business since the late seventies. His very first role was in 1976, a television drama titled Farewell To Manzanar. He has had nearly 70 credits in his 30 year career. Most often small roles, but he is most recognizable for his role of Shredder in 1990's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles movie.

In 2007, he received his first regular series role in ABC's Eli Stone.
