  • Quotes

    • Jami (On her religion): [I'm] a traditionalist more than a very religious person. I love our traditions and celebrating them and the aspect of fulfilling mitzvot and doing good things for your family and friends. I always celebrate the Sabbath at our home.

    • Jami (On playing Gilda Radner): People started telling me how much they loved Gilda, and I was scared I wasn't going to do her justice...What was profoundly sad to me was how desperately Gilda wanted a baby, because I have three children of my own. I was very aware that I am living the happy ending she would have wanted.

    • Jami (On working with the charity, Hole in the Wall Gang camp): This camp is really important to all of us. My goal is that we will truly be able to help many children for years and years and make a real difference in their lives.

    • Jami (On the film 'Keeping Up with Steins'): This picture is about a lot more than bar mitzvahs. It's about a young man coming of age, a grandfather coming back to repair a relationship with his son -- though told with lots of humor, despite all the issues.

    • Jami (On her short-lived sit-com, 'Sibs'): It really never worked from the beginning. And it was kept [on the air] for some reason. I think professionally for me it was not a great experience. Ultimately, it wasn't funny.

    • Jami: I love making people laugh.

  • The Neighbors........... Totally Ridiculous...

Great writing and acting Jami Gertz is funny ,funny, funny
  • outstanding actress

I have no idea what certain posters are talking about on these reviews. jami getz is really a great actress and especially on this show. Throughout the series, she gives off the vibe that she does resent her kids and her husband because they remind her that she is no longer the cool and fun-loving person she used to be and yet at times, there's a certain amount of affection and sincerity that does come through (especially when she's talking with her children)which shows that she has accepted her current circumstances even if she would rather go out, get drunk, and relive the high moments of her youth. Add great comidic timing, a perchant for sarcastic wit, and endless facial expressions and you've got an excellent actress whose absolutly perfect for this role.moreless
