Jaime: (about her pregnancy) It was 2007. I had been on a Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, and after we wrapped shooting, I just wanted to go home to Louisiana and finish high school, be a cheerleader, all that. Then I found out I was pregnant. I was 16. I'd had one boyfriend. It doesn't make it perfect or all right. But I was judged for something that probably most everyone does. I was young. I was in love. I was like every other teenager, except I had this last name. And I made a decision that is forever my decision.

Jamie: (on moving back to hometown of Louisiana after the birth of her daughter) Hollywood is not the right place for me now, with where I am at in my life. But who's to say that I won't go back someday? Right now, though, I'm really happy, and I want to stay here. It's a different life, having a baby, but it's better than anything I could have ever imagined. I love it.
-
Jamie: (about her daughter) As much as I would love for her to look like me--I did carry her for nine months, after all--she looks like [her father] Casey! And he reminds me of it every day.
-
Jamie: I would like to be like Britney, but maybe better, but I don't wanna outshine her.
-
Jamie: (about her daughter) I would like her to do sports. That's something I really enjoyed when I was younger. I want her to be able to travel with her basketball team, her softball team. That's fun for kids when they're growing up. I would love to be the soccer mom. They don't have soccer down here [in Louisiana], but I'd love to be the softball mom, driving all the kids around.
-
Jamie: (at age 17 about her infant daughter) I was blessed with a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. She's been really good. We get up in the morning, she gets her little bath, and I get mine. I've worked out a routine with her, and I love routines. We're just happily going about our little life. The first time she looked at me, and she knew I was her mama....that was my favorite moment ever. I love taking care of her, hugging and kissing her. I'm happy all the time.
-
Jamie: I am not a computer person. I prefer to read things on paper. I don't do the computer thing; I just don't like it. I am a big texter, though. I don't talk on the phone a lot, because it's not my thing.
-
Jamie: It's hard when your older sister is very famous and everyone knows her, follows her around, and bashes her. People need to know that I am my own person, and I don't want to be like my sister.
-
Jamie: (in the third month of her pregnancy) There are times when I'll be like, "I think I'm starting to show," and my mom is like, "No you're not, be quiet." It's really been great having her here. She's been very supportive. At first she was really upset because she wasn't expecting this, but after she had a week to cope with it, she became a big support. She will definitely be helping me out a lot. I have so much to learn.
-
Jamie: (on deciding to keep her baby when she got pregnant at 16) I think that my whole life, I would have to live with knowing what I did or didn't do. I'm trying to do the right thing. I think that this is what's going to make me happy in the end. I'm the one who has to live with it for the rest of my life. I put myself in this position, an adult position, so I have to be an adult and take responsibility for what I did. I've really become at peace with the whole situation. As for keeping the baby, it's a personal decision that everyone has to make for themselves, and this one is just right for me.
-
Jamie: (on getting pregnant at 16) I can't say that it's something I planned on doing right now, but now that's it's in my lap and it's something I have to deal with, I'm definitely looking forward to being the best mom I can be. My boyfriend Casey has always been good with babies. He's like a big teddy bear, especially around babies, so I think he'll make a great dad. It's a big shock, and scary, but I just want to have a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy, and I hope everything will fall into place so I can become a stronger person from here.
-
Jamie: (after announcing she's pregnant at 16) I definitely don't think (premarital sex is) something you should do; it's better to wait. But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in.
-
Jamie: I'm not really into video games. I used to be, but now I just, like, love watching TV.
-
Jamie: I would love to do a movie. We're looking at a bunch of things right now. I want someone to look at me and say, "Wow, she's a really good actress."
-
Jamie: My advice to Britney is to just scoot over cause I'm coming through and I'm going to be the star pretty soon.
-
Jamie: I think I'm going to do a lot of acting first, then go to singing. I definitely want to sing someday, though. When I do start singing, buy my album!
-
Jamie: I don't follow in,
Britney's footsteps. I do my own thing. I do think it will definitely be easier for me, though, because my sister worked so hard and made herself so big. Now people want me, I guess.
-
Jamie: (on her strangest habit) I eat ranch dressing with my pizza; I dip it in the ranch. It is so good! I know, I am really weird.
-
Jamie: You gotta love acting. It's really exciting and totally fun!
