Jane Adams is an American actress who started her acting career in the theatre. She was born on April 01, 1965, in Washington D.C. Her role on the play I Hate Hamlet, won her the Outer Critics Circle Award for best featured actress in a play. The same award was given to her by the 1995 Tony Award for her role on the Broadway revival of An Inspector Calls. Adam starred in Father of the Bride II, after turning down a chance to work with Whoopi Goldberg on Sister Act. In 1998, she became a part of the multi-awarded film Happiness and also appeared on the hit comedy series Frasier. Adams starred in the movie The Brave One in 2007, and in 2009 to 2011, she became a part of the HBO series Hung, playing opposite Thomas Jane. Adams also appeared on Wherever You Are, In Plain Sight, Alexander the Last, and Restless, which was featured in 2011.
