    • Ja'Net and Jeff Barry composed and sang Movin' On Up, the theme song for the TV series, The Jeffersons. The series premiere episode was made part of The Paley Center for Media (formerly Museum for Television & Radio) collection in honor of the two composers in 1994.
    • Ja'Net was the first African American woman to have a regular role in a serial; she appeared in Love of Life for two years.
