There are an awful lot of Jason impersonators out there so I thought I'd post the link to the REAL Jason Castro's official myspace. :) www.myspace.com/jasoncastromusic It's got some really cool studio versions of his songs and some cool video updates.
Hey. For all those Castro fans out there, I figured I would put up some of the songs that Jason has written himself. Personally I think they are really good! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uHYwfY_B94 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57kkQyI82kU&feature=related… More http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBXc_zPZdkA&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7qc5hjnfe8 Sorry for not being able to make them clickable. Don't know why it didn't work :(

What to watch on Monday, March 8.
Jason Castro has bored me to tears several times. His voice is so petty and average sounding to me, nothing like other American Idol finalists in past seasons that got as far as he did. In fact, several singers from American Idol season 7 deserved to get farther than him. Ramiele, Brooke, Carly, Micheal, maybe even Kristy Lee. The only stellar performance the judges gave him good critiques on was Hallelujah, and I was still not happy with that song. Also, his personality is so... I just loathe it. Once when Ryan said "This is... American Idol" his knees just buckled. Wow. Next, when Brooke got eliminated, he was grinning like a Chesire Cat. Now that's not cool. And I don't like his dread locks, not at all.
Jason Castro is a Idol finalist from Season 7, most people think of him as having dreadlocks as hair. To me, he started out on Idol good, then he got a bit worse, then he had a few good performances, then he got pretty bad. I never saw Hallelujah, because I didn't see the top 16 boys night. I heard he did good though. His top 12-top 9 performances were just alright, then he did good with Over the Rainbow and I Don't Wanna Cry. He started to get pretty bad the top 6 night, then I wanted him to be eliminated. He got to the top 4, then he was eliminated. He should've left earlier, maybe in the top 8 or so.
Jason is an amazing artist. His voice is soft, sweet, and so pure. His falsetto is smooth and wonderful to listen to - you can't help but smile when you do and the lower range in his voice has a nice tone to it. He definitely deserves to be in the top 4 of season 7. :) Besides his voice, Jason has this amazing personality and uniqueness to him. Even though he's up on "American Idol" in front of millions of people doing what he loves most and getting all the amazing publicity that comes with it, he's still completely normal. He doesn't always have the perfect words to say or the perfect way to hit the notes, but in that imperfection he's simply charming. He's just like everyone else. He's not arrogant or snobby like some people are who are suddenly put in the spotlight and given fame. Win or lose, Jason will always be one of my favorite artists to listen to. Jason Castro has taken some time to grow on my mother. And I guess I am getting use to him. It isn't that he has a bad voice. Jason's voice is quite nice. It is Jason's attitude. And he isn't the only one with this attitude. There is someone else that was on the show, or still is on the show with the same attitude.
Something about Jason seems quite "convinced" or "conceited." He comes across as being "Mr Wonderful." Some people would complain at times that fame can go do someone's head. Well, Jason might have a lot of other things that have gone to his head. For example Jason might just think that he is very good looking. Perhaps this is so.
His long locks certainly give him somewhat of an original look. Or is it all that original. But what would he look like without those locks.
I guess with some recent songs that Jason has sung on American Idol, it has given him this softer side. Which is really nice. So what does Jason need. A little humbleness. "Pride comes before the fall." So I hope he doesn't get too prideful. Although I am sure Jason thinks he is wonderful. Who knows what other people think.
Jason is one of the most talented musicians to ever sing on the American Idol stage. He is pretty nervous and feels awkward behind a camera and doesn't like giving interviews, but if he can sing, which he can, then really who cares? He has such an original yet simple voice that is unbelievable. He doesn't have to run around the stage just trying to get the crowd on there feet because he has an amazing power to be so simple and pure that he doesn't need that. When he sang "Hallelujah" on American Idol, it was the best version of that song that I have ever heard. He can make it a long way in life if he just keeps it up, which shouldn't be a problem.
