"I'm in a business that's completely driven by white males. The majority of writers and directors are men. And even though I'm not, like, such a huge feminist, I do want to produce movies on my own that are female-driven and empowering to women. Variety is good. The woman's voice really isn't present in Hollywood."

This had me laughing hysterically. I guess Jessica forgot about Penny Marshall acclaimed director of "Big", or  acclaimed screenplay writer Leigh Brackett or directors Rory Kennedy (known for great documentaries) , or Oscar nominated Nora Ephron (Sleepless in Seattle). It's funny that for a person who complains about Hollywood being dominated by men forgets to admit that these men in Hollywood have been very good to her. Likewise, the feminist comment is hilarious for someone whose roles are notably for being seductive and provocative. The male bashing stuff is hilarious seeing as part of her fanbase is no doubt boys and men.

You can read other stuff she said here http://www.usmagazine.com/jessica_alba_1 but to me Jessica is a hypocrite who wants her cake and eat it too.

She wasn't being hypocritical. She didn't state one thing then do the opposite like so many others in hollywood. She was being honest about how she feels. Name all the famous directors you can think of I doubt you will think of very many who are female.

She isnt being hypocritical. Hollywood is still dominated by men. If you saw one of her quotes, she even says that she doesnt dress for men, she dresses for women(though Im not sure if that means she likes women better or she likes being fashion conscious.
