JILL MARIE JONES
Jill Marie Jones portrays Toni Childs, the self-involved girlfriend who is struggling to keep her marriage together, in UPN's comedy GIRLFRIENDS.
Born and raised in Dallas, Jones always knew she wanted to be an actress. After attending Duncanville High School and Texas Women's University, Jones modeled before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. It was there that she began to study with acting coach John Kirby.
GIRLFRIENDS marks Jones's first series-regular role. Her acting credits also include the Saturday morning series "City Guys" as well as the television film "American Dream," with Danny Glover and Wesley Snipes.
As a dancer, Jones was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for two years and a Dallas Mavericks Dancer for one year, and toured with USO and DOD (Department of Defense) tours to Korea, Japan, Israel and Egypt. She has also performed on "Monday Night Football" and in the Miss Texas Pageant.
Last year, Jones made history with her cast mates when they co-hosted the "2004 NAACP Image Awards," which was the first year a woman hosted the program.
In addition to dancing, Jones's interests include shopping for shoes, boxing for exercise, watching old television classics in syndication and hanging out with friends.
