  • Jim is my all-time favorite....I love him!

Jim was one of the most amazing people ever to exist. I admire his poetry and it inspires my poetry as well. I love every song recorded by The Doors, which he was the lead in. Whenever people ask me to come up with my favorite song or band it always has something to do with him. He only lived 27 rebellious years. He was very intelligent, although he did not make the wisest decisions. His ideas were way ahead of his time. He was originally from florida, but alittle after college he moved out to southern california. He had brilliant lyrics, which really caught your attention. The moods, in the music were created not only by the music ,but his words. Unfortunately, he passed away from drugs in paris, france. Some believe that he is still alive today. He had a mysterious death, which was taken care of by his girlfriend, Pamela Courson and a doctor who was never heard from again. His band members remembered him explaining that someday he wanted to fake his death...that also seemed to turn heads. Every single day, I look up his poetry, and listen to his deep voice and think about James Douglas Morrison.

Jim Morrison had many places to go and many achievements to acomplish in his live before his untimely death. He was one of he great stars of music in his time. I believe the Band could be still going strong today if it weren't for Jim's death. He had a unique poetic writing pattern to most of his songs, He sang them with conviction and heart, When he lost his battle with the struggle in his life to drugs we lost a great poet, singer and ledgend. In his short life Jim had released so many number one singles that at the rate he was going he could have by far surpassed some of the legend that exsist today.
