"What was the best thing before sliced bread?" Jimmy carr is one of the fastest growing british comedians, and so he should be. From 3 live DVD's and staring in many TV shows he his generally one of the best comedians of all time!
I recently saw him at cityhall (sheffield) and i coulde nto stop laughing. His Witty Dry/Scarcastic humour is not to be missed. I reccomend anyone who has not seen his DVD's, any show he has been in, to just go onto youtube and watch it. Or better still go and buy the DVD, you will not be dissapointed
Jimmy Carr is a hilarious stand-up, amazingly witty and satirically sharp one liners. His pompus arrogant persona make it funnier too, definitely going to go down as one of the great stand-up comedians of this generation.
I think Ricky Gervais is funnier but Jimmy is still definitely hilarious and a class comedian with sharp wit and irony, love 8 Out of 10 Cats and Distraction too.
The only thing which I don't like is he does nick the occasional joke of Ricky Gervais, but they know each other so it's probably fine.

Known for his timely apperances on some of the greatest, if not best comedy shows of all time, Jimmy Carr really diserves all he has one. Presenting the huge-hit show "8 out of 10 cats" really did him well as many people finally got to see just how funny he was,(he also won himself fans in the younger age catagory due to this show).
Winning lots of awards, and being called the funniest stand up, not only alive but ever, by some, is exactly what he deserves. He is a first class comedian and to anyone who knows not of him, i strongly recommend you watch some of his stand up, or read a book of his.
I first acme across Jimmy Carr i few years ago when he was co-hosting a show called 'your face or mine', Carr stood out straight away and went on to host shows such as 'the friday night project' , 'distraction' and '8 out of 10 cats'.
Carr has released best-selling dvs of his stand up tour and won best live stand up award in 2006 at the british comedy awards. in 2006 Carr released a book calles 'the naked jape', which looked at the history and art of the 'joke'.
here are some of his jokes used in his stand up act;
.I've got a friend whose nickname is "Shagger". You might think that's pretty cool. She doesn't like it
.Throwing acid is wrong - in some people's eyes
.: I live near a remedial school. There is a sign that says, slow... children. That can't be good for their self esteem
.When you eat a lot of spicy food, you can lose your taste. When I was in Mexico last summer, I was listening to Michael Bolton
