Between February 23, and March 7, 2009 Jimmy Eat World embarked on a 10 show tour for the tenth anniversary of their album Clarity. The Clarity x10 tour featured all of the songs, in order, from the 1999 release Clarity, played back to back.

The second single from Chase This Light is the track Always Be.

Their album Chase This Light has sold 164,000 copies in the US.

Their first single off the album Chase the Lights was Big Casino.

Their album Chase the Lights debuted at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling about 62,000 copies in its first week

An alternate version of their song Lucky Denver Mint was on the soundtrack for Never been Kissed.

They wrote their song The Middle after bring dropped from Capitol Records.

The band's first single was Call it in the Air.

In 1994, they released their first EP called One, Two, Three, Four.

In 2005, they toured with Taking Back Sunday and Green Day.

They are an alternative rock band.

On August 13, 2005, they shared the stage with Green Day in Rochester, N.Y.

Jimmy is Linton's younger brother, who had a weight problem. Adkins' younger brother drew a picture on Jimmy's door of him putting a globe in his mouth, and wrote on it Jimmy Eat World. That's how they got their name.

Jimmy Eat World being dumped by their record label in 1999 may have been the best thing that ever happened to these guys since then they have broken through to the mainstream.

Jim Adkins submitted a song for the Canadian band Simple Plan. It was never used by that band, so Jimmy Eat World recorded the song "Jen" during the Futures sessions. It was also not officially released.

Jimmy Eat World started out around 1994. Initially Tom Linton did the majority of vocals, and Mitch Porter played the bass.
