    I personally love Joan Crawford and I do not for one moment believe everything that was written by Christina Crawford. I think it is pretty easy to write a book that portrays someone in a not so tasteful way when they aren't around to defend themselves.

    Joan Crawford's two youngest daughters contend that 90% of Mommie Dearest was pure fiction although they agree with Christina's claim that their mother was an alcoholic and acknowledge that she could be a difficult woman to deal with much of the time.
