The unmistakeable husky voice and high-comedy style of Joan Greenwood afforded major cinemagoing pleasure to the world from the late 40s through to the early 1960s, in such famous movies as "Kind Hearts And Coronets", "Whiskey Galore", "The Man In The White Suit", "Moonfleet" (her only Hollywood film) and "Tom Jones".
