Joanne Linville

As of 2006 she runs The Joanne Linville Studio in Los Angeles, teaching classes to adult and youth actors.

Joanne is a "master teacher" of theatre at the Los Angeles branch of the prestigious Stella Adler Acting School.

Joanne participated in the Harold Klurman Lecture Series at the Stella Adler School of Acting in New York on November 5, 2006 with actor Mark Ruffalo.

None other than Seinfeld's own Michael Richards credits Joanne with improving his technique in scenes. He said, "She has helped me earn two emmys."

Joanne teaches cold reading, improvisation, and scene study to young actors in Los Angeles.

Joanne's only Broadway credit was in Morris West's Daughter of Silence which only ran for one month in December, 1961. She shared the stage with another long-time tv vet, Vincent Gardenia.

She appeared with her two children in her ex-husband's 2001 TV biopic James Dean. She played gossip columnist Hedda Hopper while Christopher played an assistant to director Elia Kazan and Amy played an acting colleague of Dean's.

Joanne's first tv appearance was on The Kaiser Aluminum Hour in the title role of the episode "Gwyneth."

Joanne was married to director Mark Rydell, whose films include the Oscar-nominated On Golden Pond and The Rose.

Joanne appeared at the first "Stars of the Zone Convention" on August 24-25, 2002, which featured over 50 actors who had appeared on The Twilight Zone.

Joanne is the mother of actress Amy Rydell and actor Christopher Rydell.

Joanne is not married to, nor is she any relation to M*A*S*H actor Larry Linville
