I first saw Joel Kinnaman in the Johan Falk series. Unknown to me, he really blasted through the screen as introvert cold-blooded, yet sympathetic gangster Frank Wagner. A role he was nominated for as best supporting actor in the Guldbagge awards. Swedish actors have a tendency to overdo it when it comes to dramatic characters. Kinnaman went the other way with his character and downplayed it which made his role so much more realistic (and creepier. The steel in his eyes told you all you needed to know about the character. Don't mess with this guy. I believe that Kinnaman can be the next biggest export to Hollywood, alongside fellow actors Stellan Skarsgård, Lena Ohlin and Max Von Sydow if he plays his cards right. I'm looking forward to watching "The Killing" to see what he does with his character.moreless
