Joey Lauren Adams, an American actress known for her distinctive high-pitched voice, has become widely recognized for her roles in films such as "Mallrats" and "Chasing Amy." Adams won several awards for her performances throughout the 1990s including a Golden Globe for "Best Actress" in "Chasing Amy". She was born in 1968 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where she grew up and decided to be an actress after a student exchange trip to Australia. After graduating from high school in 1986, Adams moved to Hollywood where she got her first important role in the hit TV show "Married with Children."
