    • Johanna: I think it's important to have something to do besides acting. If you sit around and think of only booking a job you'll go insane!

    • Johanna: Just have fun and remember every audition is a chance to act and that's the whole point anyway!

    • Johanna: (advice to starting actors) Be yourself. Be real. There is no reason to get so nervous. If a casting director doesn't like you for some reason... Oh, well. Why would you want to work with someone who doesn't want to work with you!

    • Johanna: Its hard to have a normal social life in this field. You have to be prepared to audition or go to set or a fitting or whatever at all times. Its hard to make plans with friends because your schedule changes everyday.

    • Johanna: Its hard to have a normal social life in this field. You have to be prepared to audition or go to set or a fitting or whatever at all times. Its hard to make plans with friends because your schedule changes everyday.

    • Johanna: Every audition is a chance to act and do what I love.

    • Johanna: For me it isn't about the business. It's about acting.

    • Johanna: (on the business of acting) The business itself is unfair and dark, but that's something you have to ignore.

    • Johanna: (on her first time in LA) I came out to L.A. for a few months my senior year for pilot season with my mom in 2005 just to see how I would do. I ended up booking a Nickelodeon cartoon called Avatar and the pilot for Surface. Those two-and-a-half months were so much fun!

    • Johanna: (on acting while still living in Atlanta during her teenage years) I mainly did commercials, industrials and voice over work in Atlanta. There wasn't a lot of film work in the area at that time. Many times, I would have to go to North Carolina or New Orleans to audition for films. Or I would make a video tape to send out with an audition on it.

    • Johanna: (on getting started) I got my agent in Atlanta through the Atlanta Workshop players acting camp when I was 10. I did my first film while I was a junior. It was a Disney movie called Pop Rocks which filmed in New Orleans. I met my present day manager on that set.

    • Johanna: (on knowing she wanted to act since high school) I knew I wanted to pursue acting. I was acting in high school already. I would miss school to film or go on an audition. I would just do my school work on set or sometimes in the car on the way.

    • Johanna: (on the TV show UnReal) From what I've heard a lot of it is true. I would hope emptying out someone's medication doesn't and hasn't happened. But I think a lot of the manipulation actually is a thing.

    • Johanna: I've been lucky enough to get strong female roles, and I hope it's not just a fleeting trend. I don't see a big paradigm shift yet, but I'm hopeful!

    • Johanna: I'm not the quietest girl in the world.

    • Johanna: I'm a big believer in staying true to yourself and your beliefs.

    • Johanna: Focus on the inside and being a good person and loving other people.

    • Johanna: Hair, makeup, lighting and Photoshop only do so much... the right guy is going to love what's inside and not just what's outside. And if you do get with someone just because of their looks, it just puts a pressure on the relationship in the future and brings a whole other bucket of insecurities.

    • Johanna: I think there's way too much priority put on looks these days for women. But I hope people realize it's all fake.

    • Johanna: I think it's something the world needs to see. Reality shows are everywhere... and for years the public has no idea there's so much manipulation.

    • Johanna: If you don't love acting more than anything else, don't do it. It's not a normal life. It will take you away from your family, friends and life in general.

    • Johanna: I'm kind of scatterbrain and all over the place at times.

    • Johanna: I grew up on classic Nintendo, which was amazing. My best friends were hardcore into it.

    • Johanna: I make a sincere effort to do some form of exercise every day, except for Sunday. That's church and hang out day.

    • Johanna: My must-have hair products are Phyto silk spray and Kusco-Murphy setting lotion.

    • Johanna: I'm really low maintenance for a girl. I pretty much shower, attempt to fix my hair, throw on some mineral make up, and go.

    • Johanna Braddy: (about if she could play any Avatar character, who would it be?) I don't know about a specific character, I would just love to play a villain. Its so much fun to be one of the "bad guys".

    • (when asked how she got involved with the show Avatar: The Last Airbender)
Johanna: I was really lucky. Last year I came out to L.A. for the first time. (I'm from Georgia.) I had only been here maybe 2 months. I got the audition for Avatar, worked on what I pictured Princess Yue's voice to be like, then recorded the lines at my agency. Probably a week after, I got the call saying I booked the job. I was SO excited. I love voice over work and I had never done animation before.

    • (When asked how she is similar and different to Princess Yue)
Johanna Braddy: Well, appearance wise, we look a lot alike. It's really cool. I have long blonde hair and blue eyes. Princess Yue and I are both very determined. She has principles that she defends and sticks to no matter what, as well as I do. I'm a big believer in staying true to yourself and your beliefs. I'm a bit different though in that I'm not the quietest girl in the world. She always has a calm and collected feel to her.
