John Banner\'s abilities as an actor were never fully realized and his motivation to act was genuine. It was most incredible that he died and far too soon. I often would watch Hogan\'s Heroes as a child only to see the expression Schultz would emit. Now that I am a man of John Banner\'s general size I sometimes find myself adopting some of his mannerisms to mimic his ability to get a laugh. He died far too soon and left far too little on the television to remember him by. Sadly he did appear on the Partridge Family. That\'s just creepy.
