Everytime i watch beloved scrubs, I look forward to seeing dr.cox he is truly a unique character. many people label him as a jerk, but deep down he is sensitive and caring. you just have to understand how he shows his love before you judge him. Dr.cox's relationship with JD is a key component to JDs growth through out the whole show. JD needed him, and even though dr.cox seems like a jerk to JD actually he was helping him grow, if Dr.cox had been a whiny cry as* then JD would have never figured out anything on his own. Vote Dr.cox
John C. McGinley is one of the most talented actors. In Scrubs he's a lot of peoples favorite actor because he's so funny and talented. John C. McGinley or as many people know him ''Dr. Cox'' can make you laugh by just making a face, or by calling people girls names. Anyways John C. McGinley is outstanding in comedy but one of the best in dramatic. I know your probably wondering what I'm talking about but in the episode of Scrubs called ''My Screw Up'' he plays a dramatic part so beautifully. If your a fan of McGinley and haven't seen the episode ''My Screw Up'' you should watch it. Also Scrubs will be in its last season. : ( I'll be so sad to see it go, but I seriously think John C. McGinley and Zach Braff should be on a show together again.
John C McGinley is excellet as Dr Cox in Scrubs i've seen him in the movie point break briefly but he excells in scrubs by far. He plays Dr Cox so well with his stern face and oddly likeable character
I find John hilariously funny expecially when he is sarcastic in Scrubs. John and Zach braff are excellent together and they are a treat for anyones ears and eyes. His hair changes so much in Scrubs each season its different curly or all shaved off you never quite no and thats the good thing with Dr Cox you never know whats coming next especially when hes usually sarcastic thats what u expect more but sometimes that is not the case. John C McGinley is a fantastic actor and can act almost anything sad scenes and happy scenes he trully is a memorable actor.
John C. McGinley is by far my favorite actor of all time. He first stood out to me as an actor as Dr. Perry Cox in Scrubs. After seeing him in that though I had to see many other hit movies that he has acted in. Some include Platoon, Are We There Yet, Wild Hogs, The Rock, The Animal, and a few others.
He can fit into almost any role, as we've seen from his many performances. I look forward to seeing him in another season of scrubs and many more movies. Atleast I can only hope he will be in many more movies. John C. McGinley is my guilty pleasure!
When I first noticed McGinley, he was acting as a person who lays off people in the very popular film Office Space. That sparked my interest. When I saw that McGinley was chosen to portray Dr. Percival "Perry" Cox on the hit NBC Dramedy Scrubs, I was so excited.
John C. McGinley is my favorite actor by far. The way he plays his characters parts makes him such a unique actor, yet he blends in perfectly. He is most known for being Dr. Perry Cox on Scrubs, which was probably McGinleys big break. This role on Scrubs definitely made him a better actor, and now he has risen to be one of the most well known actors and one of the favorites among us.
In conclusion, McGinley is a very talented actor and deserves way more attention than he currently gets.
He was a good actor in Office Space. However, he is phenomenal in Scrubs as Dr. Cox. He plays his part well. He shows sacasm, anger, and every other part of emotions that his character requires. His character portrayal is outstanding. Other than the normal sharp-edged man that we see nearly every episode. McGinley also shows an outstanding emotional depth on the other end in episodes requiring sadness and happiness. All in all I would have to say that he is the best character on Scrubs. He continues to evolve in style and tone as the show continues to progress.
He is one of the funniest actors ever! Admittedly, I really only know him as the very sarcastic, Dr. Perry Cox on Scrubs. From what I've read about him though, he has always been great. It's also incredible how he can be all hilarious one second and then something happens and he is able to shift the character's mood on a dime. He seems to be able to work very well with his fellow stars and when he does bask in the limelight he doesn't take all of the credit. The fact that Dr. Cox,is mostly everyone's favorite character, doesn't seem to give him a huge ego. All around, he's an awesome actor and I'm sure that he's a great person to talk to and work with too.
John C. McGinley is a fine actor. I mainly recognize him in his work as Dr. Cox on televsion's, "Scrubs," but I know him from the few films that he's done. He has a decent range of acting skills, but he really shines when it comes to delivering dry humor.
Great actor, I've seen him in some good movies like Nothing to Lose or the Animal and he was very cool as the villain or antagonist in both of them. Joining all of that and putting him as the sarcastic and great character Dr. Cox in Scrubs and he is just awesome. He is great!
He is my main reason why scrubs is thy best! He's evey emotion. Rarly happy, and i like him for that! Most actors are happy or extremly happy, and I hate that... But Dr.Cox sounds like my kind of guy. Always yelling and humilating people he doesnt even know! To me, without Dr.Cox, Scrubs would be less funny. Man i just Love Dr.Coz. John C. Mcgindley has won so many awards for hi acting. If i could give him an award, i would give him "Best Actor of the Universe"! This guy is sad, miserable, sacastic, and angry. Man, like I said, sounds like my kind of guy.
Scrubs is one of the if one the best shows and the best comedies on TV right now and one of the main reasons why the show is so good is John C. McGinley.
For Johnny C not to be constantly winning awards for is portrayal on Dr Cox is almost a crime. Although he has had many roles in his career as far as I am concerned he is best as Dr. Cox when he’s happy angry, sad, sarcastic (especially when he’s sarcastic) he is just the best.
On August 3, 1959 in New York City John C. McGinley was born. He had a great future ahead him, Most notable for his current role it the hit T.V. show Scrubs, He gives on of the best performances of the show and is a great comedy actor. Although he has had more serious rolls in movies such as Platoon, The rock and Se7en, and show his lighter side in The office. Nobody can ever doubt they greatness of this man, as he can do a great job in any role he sets his sights on.
He is one of my Favorite actors ever! He is smart and funny and can just be plain mean. His talent on switching attitudes is amazing. He has mastered his trade. He could easaly be put up there along with....wait no one can amount to his talent. He can be a little strange at times but he is always funny. He can be genuinly caring at times. Im not just talking about Dr.Cox! He is one of the most Beliveable charicters on telivision. His chemistry with Zach Braff on the show blows me away. He is one of the Greatest!
I know John from Scrubs and I think he's done a WONDERFUL job portraying Dr.Perry Cox. He's always managed to bring life to this character, sarcastic and logorrhoeic on the outside but professional, good and caring on the inside. His versatility is testified by the complexity of this neurotic character, always changing mood so that no one can ever say what he's thinking. I think that the talent of this actor is one of the reasons why the character is so good and is one of the most important in this show. My only regret is not to have seen this actor much in other shows than scrubs. Hope he can get some other major roles soon
John C. McGinley at age 40 has been in close to fifty movies and has guest starred in a few great television shows such as The Practice and Frasier. Not to mention the fact that he is also a writer and a producer.
Born in New York and raised in Millburn New Jersey, John decided to become an actor. Mr. McGinley got his start after he was discovered by Oliver Stone's casting scout. The scout was sent to watch a production of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, which was starring John Turturro at the time. The night they came, John Turturro had gotten a movie offer so, being his understudy, John took the stage and impressed the scouts enough for them to suggest to Oliver Stone that he had what he was looking for. Stone offered John a small role in one of the greatest war movies of all times, Platoon. The role he was offered was very small. But the actor John Spenser dropped out and John landed the fourth lead in the movie. Not a bad start. After Platoon, he has worked with Oliver Stone four more times and has worked with a majority of the world's greatest actors. Even though most of the parts he plays in movies are supporting character roles, he has such great charisma and humor that he draws your attention from the main actors to him.
John married a production assistant he met on the set of the movie Nothing To Lose, Lauren Lambert. They have a son, Max, who was born with Down Syndrome. He has since divorced his wife and is living in Malibu California with his son Max and his two dogs.
As I said, I had seen him from Scrubs and he was terrific, because he made a move being Dr. Cox.
Dr. Cox: Newbie, if the next two words out of your mouth aren't "see ya" then the third world will be "ohmigod, my crotch, you've punched me in the crotch"
First time i really saw him was in Scrubs, and he just does an amazing job in it, there is just nothing that i can say about him playing that role that could hurt him, i just can't, he plays it perfectly, and with some great lines that the writers provide him he is just my favorite character by far in the series.
Ofcourse he does alot more then just Scrubs, he has quite an impressive TV and Movie history, i seen him by now in quite a few movies, and he always performs well, sure he isn't 1 of the greatest actors around, but i do think he is very good, and certainly talented.
I can't wait for a new season for Scrubs and i hope we see alot more from him.
