  • If someone thinks of Britain; they think of Tea, Big Ben, The Queen and John Cleese.

What can anyone say about this guy?

Whether he's acting, doing stand - up or simply writing he exhibits talent and and a natural funniness that many wish they had.

His freakish height, distinctive voice and aura of upper - class has left marks in many areas of show biz. As the uptight hotel manager in Fawlty Towers, the downtrodden Archie Leach in the classic "A Fish Called Wanda", the nearlyheadless ghost in Harry Potter and who could forget the Monty Python TV series and movies where he played almost every possible persona known to mankind.

Even in his twilight years; his physicality may've decreased but his newly acquired "grumpy old man" view has become his latest fame. John Cleese has entertained and inspired for decades and shows no sign or capability of quitting.
  • John Cleese is a very funny man!

John Cleese is a very funny man! I like Fawlty Towers that he does when he is the hotel manager Basil Fawlty and he does a lot of funny things. Also it was funny when he did the top 100 best movis and at the end the people at the cenima were walking out pushing him out of the way. Even in a James Bond film that I saw it is very funny at the bits he comes on. I think he was doing a science thing or something, I can't remember now. So John cleese is a very funny man which i'll give 8 out of 10.

John Cleese is a true actor. He can pull off the comedic roles just as well as he can pull off the dramatic roles. You really believe that he got into acting because he loves it for what it is. You'll never see him in any tabloids and you won't hear any gossip about him. In his roles, you sense more realism than many other actor's who are considered more talented than he. Of all of his roles in all of his movies, my favorite has to be his role of the new "Q" in the Bond films.

John Cleese is one of my few all time favourite actors/comedians. The best movie/TV show he has ever done is the short series of Fawlty Towers which is just 12 hilarious episodes long. That is a classic show. He has also been in hundreds of other productions and I love about 20 of them like the Shrek series, he was in Harry Potter 1 and 2, Charlies Angles, Rat Race and so much more. He is just perfect.
  • John Cleese is just so good at making you laugh

Monty Python has made him famous and some of you know him in other movies like Shrek and many more. John Cleese is one of the all-time greats and I know that's treu. Prove me wrong!! I dare you!! just kidding. . . . but yeah it's kinda treu he's one of my personal favorites ( but Keiffer Sutherland will always be my absolute favorite) . In Monty Pythons Flying Circus he was soooo funny! I keep watching it and I still laugh , he's the funniest britan guy that i know and together with his Monty Python-gang he is invinseble.
  • How does one put posh silliness in a nutshell?

A man of many talents might sum up John Cleese if one were to snicker at the end of the sentence. How wonderful to have a man who is able to deliver such nonsense with such grammatically correct style. He brings into America's homes a taste of British starch with rapid uncensored humor. I do miss the poise and brightness of his presence on weekly programs. John has a rather professor-like (kept look) about him. His height is always used to his advantage, either looking down upon his next target or wiggling limps to tickle our nerves. He is a delight to watch as an actor, a wonderful writer, and has a distinct character voice for animation. He has donated much to our entertainment through the years and I feel he has been a bit overlooked when it comes to recognition.
  • Extraordinary talent...

John Cleese has an extraordinary capacity to transform the mundane into the explosively absurd. He is an actor who can perform beautifully with emotional depth and reality as well as the extreme comedy of the absurd. The entire creative team that began working on Monty Python were an unusually gifted band of creative artists banging out their own unique comic rhythms. Most of that original team have gone on to thrilling careers in cinema and television. Cleese himself is both a talented actor and creator.
