I watched John Hillerman on Magnum for years. His delivery, his tone, his voice, his body language -everything he did was perfect. His character was so very intrigueing and always true to the core. I looked forward to every episode in which John was the root of the story. The episodes in which he portrayed Higgins and his brothers were particularly humorous. The character of Higgins was by all means not a perfect man -but he was a perfect gentleman with real ethics. My 20-year old son even respects John Hillerman -and he's only seen him in Magnum. Thanks for the upstanding character, the warmth, the culture, and the humor -thanks for everything John!
I think John Hillerman is a great actor. Without him in the show Magnum P. I. the show would not have that extra bit of humor. He acts great for a British head of security on Magnum too, even though he was born in Texas and doesn't even have a British accent! I have seen him in Little House on the Prarie also, no accent there either! It would be nice to see him and a bunch of other actors from these old shows again in some sort of reunion. I still haven't found out if he is actually Robin Masters or not...
