While I am not a fan of the Beatles, I can appreciate the amazing musical talent and writing talent that John Lennon had before his life was stolen from him. Had he been alive today, it would be cool to see how he and Paul McCartney would have interacted. I think that they'd only be friends in public.

Though, I don't really think that he did the best with all of the controversy with the Beatles and the fact tha the was on drugs, I really like his music. Imagine is one of the sweetest songs I ever heard in all my life, and I think that it is simply one of the best songs ever in the history of music. John Lennon was one of the best songwriters ever!
  • A darn shame...

It sickens, saddens, and angers me. Mark Chapman is the embodiement of evil. I hate him. He asks for forgiveness from God. In my eyes, he can't have it. John Lennon was a legend. Chapman ended it. John Lennon struck me with leadership. He was a songwriter, a fantastic backup guitarist, and a peace guru. Who knows, he could have brought world peace. If I had been alive I would have done everything possible to stop the murder of John Lennon. I just recently was introduced to the Beatles. But they are my idols all the same.
  • Gone way, way, too soon!

Gone way, way, too soon and with so much to

Give had he not been shot by someone who loved

His and his music. Robbing his wife and son of their

Husband and father! Had not he wrote all of the songs

I think that there would be no band. No wonder he

Was called the smart Beatle! Still missed after twenty-five years!
  • Deeply missed ...

John Lennon is one of the few celebrities in the world that I would describe as irreplacable. He was brilliant, influential, and his talent cannot be superseded by anyone. He made The Beatles for me, but not only that - he was a superior solo artist.

We'll never know where music would have went if he had lived, but at least his music and his legacy lives on.

  • Struck down in his prime.

December 8, 1980. That was a sad day for John Lennon fans, because of how he was taken from their hearts. John may have died a few months before I was born, but I have to say that I admire his musical skills. The man was a talented guitar player, singer and song writer, and peace activist.

As a Beatle, I may not have been a fan of the music that he made with them, but as a solo artist, I think that he made really good music, with "Imagine" and "Give Peace a Chance" coming to mind as my favorites.

I think that it is a shame that the Legendary John Lennon was taken from the world in such a tragic way, struck down in his prime.
  • John Lennon was the greatest songwriter of all time and one of the greatest human beings of all time. He was one of the most influential musicians of all time. John Lennon was the one of the greatest musicians. What words can be used to describe John Lenno

The Beatles are the greatest band of all time no question. However with all the Beatles, one always stands out and that was John Lennon. He revolutionized music. Whenever I listen to a band, I keep on comparing them to the Beatles, and keep saying to myself, their great but they aren't the Beatles. I do admit I was sad when the Beatles broke up, but who cares. As long as John Lennon is spreading his message of love through his music, I was happy. I like John Lennon and Yoko Ono, heck I love them! They were great. I was so sad when John Lennon died. That's when the whole world just stopped. If John Lennon was still alive today, think about all the great music that him and Yoko Ono could have made. May'be they could have patched up old problems and become a band once again. Who knows, we can only IMAGINE.
  • One of the all-time best

John Lennon is one of my all time favorite musicians. He was great as a Beatle and great with Yoko Ono in the Plastic Ono Band. He was a great artist that helped music change and develop thoughout the years that he was alive. Together with Yoko Ono, Lennon made new and different music, unheard until their time. Imagine is one of the greatest songs ever. It's a shame that his life was ended before his time and how the world missed out on all of the music he never got to make. A truly great artist and song writer.
