Forums: John Madden (II) Board: Continuing games when no hope of winning

For the past few years that I have been watching games where the score difference has been large John Madden has asked "why do they keep playing?" My answer to that is that I'm pleased that they do. Currently with the time difference between my country (New Zealand) and the US I am lucky to see the last quarter. I would feel cheated if the full 15 minutes wasn't played as if they could still win. As it is I am always sorry when quarter backs take a "knee" as wile I understand the reason, I still feel I have been robbed.
