    • Jon: (on playing a dramatic role and doing a Sean Penn) And die? Oh Chris Penn. I thought you were talking about Chris Penn for a minute. I would like to do something that's somewhat dramatic but I don't see myself ever becoming that serious or doing stuff that's really dramatic, but somewhat dramatic.

    • Jon: (on voice-acting for the animated film "Surf's Up") I've always been in love with animation. And getting involved with it on this side, I never really expected it, but was definitely kind of jumping at it like, 'This is cool.'

    • Jon: I just love bringing characters to life whether it be through the words or through their movement and being, you can get so much about a character, through the way they position themselves, or the way they move or act, not act but through the way they hold themselves.

    • Jon: All that matters is that my life is not complicated. It's quite simple, actually. I hope it stays that way.

    • Jon: When I get creepy fan mail from guys, that's weird. I mean girls I guess I can understand, but guys telling you that they love you, that's always weird.

    • Jon: I make fun of so many people in my life like my wife and my best friends. We make fun of the people we love. To me life is making fun of stuff in a totally light way.

    • Jon: Growing up I used to read all about the Loch Ness Monster, UFOs and that sweet kind of stuff that some people consider dorky but whatever, it's sweet. Young boys think the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot are sweet because of the mystery.

    • Jon: (on where he learned to boogie) From my heart. I love movin'. I was observant growing up, watching Michael Jackson and John Travolta. I'd close my eyes, see the moves.

    • Jon: (on being a Mormon in Hollywood) It's simply about knowing who you are and sticking to what you believe in. Sometimes there's language issues. I'm not interested in sexual content.

    • Jon: I am a Mormon by faith, but that does not make me the poster boy for the Religion. Although, if people are inspired by the way that I live my life, I don't consider that a bad thing at all.

  • Very, VERY highly overrated and overused.

The reason that I kept this rating over a 1 was because, I have to say, he did an exceptional performance in Napoleon Dynamite. He played the role well, he never went out of character or anything, but, come on. The movie wasn't really that great. Ok, so you get a few laughs the first MAYBE second time you watch it, but after that, nah, not that funny anymore. So I guess I can see why people like him, but that doesn't mean that he has to go into all of the latest comedies. He is supposed to be a one hit wonder, and remembered for his part in that movie, but all these starring roles in movies that are given to him in movies, that he can't pull off because he can only do Napoleon, just kills it.moreless
  • He was good in Napoleon Dynamite....

but now I see that theyre putting him in really crappy movies lately. And he still has that annoying dumb-sounding voice, the same tone of voice you hear from him in Napoleon Dynamite. That's getting a bit old... and annoying. He should try sounding a little different, Im sure hes more talented than that.
